Description: This project was the City Heights Urban Village rehabilitation job located in San Diego, CA. The following is a review of existing construction defects and the repairs that were carried out using a variety of KOSTER American's waterproofing line: KOSTER KB-Pur Gel was injected between the drainage board and the CMU to repair a failure in the sheet waterproofing on the exterior of the CMU walls. KOSTER 2 IN 1 was injected in the cracks on the interior of the CMU walls. To waterproof the negative side, KOSTER NB 1 Grey was applied with KOSTER NB Elastic White applied on top to achieve crack bridging characteristics. KOSTER KB-Pur Casting Foam 10 was poured into the voids to compact and consolidate the soil while stabilizing the porches. Finally, KOSTER VAP I 2000 FS was installed on prepared concrete prior to the application of a urethane topping coating.
